On Sunday, April 17, the Takoma Park branch of the TPSS Food Co-op celebrated Earth Day with a festival, featuring activities for just about everyone. A flea market promoted recycling of household items. Co-op volunteers offered samples of natural food products. An alternative energy expert presented information about solar power. A face painter transformed local children into their magical alteregos. And various musicians kept the atmosphere lively. Inside the store, shoppers were treated to free chair massages.
